How Far We Travel And What Changes With Distance
Five towns carry most of the diary, but the work spreads well beyond them. A village hall twenty minutes outside Bedford is as normal for us as a hotel in the middle of it, and a lot of the weddings and christenings we style are in places too small to appear on any list.
Distance changes the timings more than it changes the work. A longer run means an earlier start, and it means we want to know what time we can get into the room and what time the room has to be clear. Those two numbers shape what is realistic far more than the mileage does.
Access matters as well. A loading door, a lift, a flight of stairs or a long walk from the car park all change how a sequin wall or a set of light up numbers gets in. Telling us in advance means we arrive with the right kit and the right number of hands rather than working it out on the day.
Everything we install, we come back for. The clear down is part of the booking, so you are not left folding a backdrop at midnight or wondering what to do with a set of letters.
