Holy communion decorations

First communion parties usually happen at home or in a parish hall on a busy weekend in spring. The styling needs to go up quickly, look right in photographs, and be gone the same evening.

For a communion we can cover

  • Backdrop and balloon garland
  • Light up letters spelling the child's name
  • Cake table styling
  • Helium balloon bouquets for guest tables
  • Personalised bubble balloons
  • Set up at a parish hall or at home

01

A backdrop and a name

Ivory and gold, or ivory and one accent colour. A backdrop with the child's name in light up letters is the piece that does the work, because it is where the family photograph gets taken.

Communion weekends are concentrated, so several families in the same parish are often looking at the same dates. It is worth asking early.

02

The table, and the balloons

A styled cake table, a garland along the front, and helium bouquets on the guest tables covers most communion parties without turning the hall into something it is not.

Personalised bubble balloons with the child's name and the date are made up at the shop and are an easy thing for guests to take a photograph with.

How it runs

From the first messageto the last balloon down

  1. 01

    Tell us the day

The date, the venue and roughly what you picture. A photo you like is plenty to start.

  2. 02

    We plan the colours

Chrome, matte, ivory, blush, sage. We match the room and the rest of your styling.

  3. 03

    We build it on site

Garlands and arches are built at the venue on the day, so they fit the space properly.

  4. 04

    We take it away

Everything comes back down after the event, so you are not left clearing up.

Questions

Asked often

How early should I book a communion party?

Communion weekends are concentrated in spring and several families in the same parish tend to want the same dates. Ask as soon as you know the date.

Can you set up in a parish hall?

Yes. Halls usually have rules about fixings and access times, so tell us which one and we will check with them.

Can you match the colours to the outfit?

Yes. Send a photograph of the dress or the suit and we will match to that rather than to a colour name.

Do you do balloons only, without the styling?

Yes. Helium bouquets and personalised bubble balloons can be collected from the shop in Kempston.
